Folding book pages into art. Open up your book into the first 100 pages or so and place the folded edge of the printed template along the left side of the book which should be the bottom of the book. This is another way to create book fold artwork with one additional step. 180 fold is simply folding all the pages toward the spine before you start marking and creating the project.

Fold the top and bottom of the first page to the starting point on your template. Folding books into letters is easy. Ensure that the letters of your work are exactly the size you would like them to be in the book.

Do not fold all the way back to the spine or the book will not stay open nicely. Starting at the upper corner fold the page toward you until the edge of the fold touches the edge of your design. Every lower case letter needs at least 35 folds that means 70 page numbers per letter.

Prep your book by giving a pencil or exacto knife tick mark on the top and the bottom of the pages at the 1 or 1 25 mark from the spine of the book. Typically you ll need at least 300 pages for an intricate folding project.
